“YOKE” stands for Young Orthodox striving to Know the Eternal. We liked it as a logo because as Christians we need one another, we need support from others who love God, so the image of oxen yoked together appeals to us. We also resonated with the words of Christ: “Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For My yoke is easy and My burden is light.” (Mat. 11:28-30)
Our vision is a group for young people 18 – 30 years of age that will organise monthly spiritual talks followed by the opportunity to support each other in the faith and socialize over some refreshments.
